Our Core Promise

CuroPDF is built on privacy. Unlike nearly every other PDF tool on the internet, we do not upload your files to our servers. All processing happens directly in your web browser using WebAssembly and modern browser APIs. You can verify this yourself by opening Developer Tools → Network tab and observing that no file data leaves your device during processing.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

PDF content: We never see the text, images, or data inside your PDFs
File names: We do not log or record the names of files you process
File metadata: Author, title, and other PDF metadata stays on your device
Processing history: We do not track which tools you use or how often
IP addresses: We do not log IP addresses for analytics or tracking

2. Information We Do Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate and improve the Service:

Anonymous usage metrics: Tool popularity counts (e.g., "Merge PDF was used 1,000 times today") — no file data, no user IDs
Error reports: If a tool fails, we may receive an anonymous error code to help us fix bugs
Contact form submissions: Only when you voluntarily email us through the contact page

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage solely to remember your preferences (e.g., preferred output format). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. No cookie consent banner is needed because we don't track you.

4. Third-Party Services

We load the following external resources:

Google Fonts: For loading the Inter typeface. Google may see your IP address.
CDN (jsDelivr): For loading the PDF-lib.js library. The CDN may see your IP address.

Neither service receives your PDF files or processing data.

5. Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data or PDF files, there is nothing to retain. Anonymous metrics are retained for up to 90 days to help us improve the Service.

6. Children's Privacy

CuroPDF does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we do not collect personal data, there is typically no data to access, correct, or delete. If you have contacted us and wish to have your correspondence deleted, email us and we will comply within 30 days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date. We will never reduce your privacy protections without clear notice.
