CuroPDF was built out of frustration. Every online PDF tool we tried had the same playbook: offer a few free uses, then hit you with a paywall. Or worse — advertise as free, watermark your output, and charge to remove the branding.
We believed there was a better way. PDF tools are not complex enough to justify a subscription. The technology exists to run them entirely in a browser, on your device, with no server required. So we built exactly that — 22 fully-functional PDF tools that process everything locally and are genuinely, permanently free.
We launched in 2025 with a simple promise: every tool on CuroPDF will always be free, with no watermarks, no file limits and no signup. That promise has never changed and never will.

Our principles
We believe productivity tools should empower people, not extract money from them. We built CuroPDF around three principles:
- Privacy by design — local processing isn’t a feature, it’s the foundation. We never even had the architecture to upload files.
- Radical honesty — if a tool has a limitation, we say so. No dark patterns, no misleading “free” labels.
- Sustainable simplicity — we stay free through an honest model that doesn’t require us to exploit users.
How we stay free
CuroPDF is supported by optional Pro features and modest, non-intrusive advertising — never targeted, never based on your documents. Your work is private and our tools are free. Those two things are not in conflict. Read more about our model →
